It should be abundantly clear that UNC Charlotte would walk on water to be part of the Big East conference.

Charlotte will NEVER be appreciated by the Charlotte community or around the country as a member of the A10 or as a participant in a non division I football conference. We must hasten our move to a major conference and the Big East is a perfect fit. Our school leaders shouldn't underappreciate the significance of the persistent migration of northeast yankees to Charlotte. We have migrated to Charlotte in mass and many of us miss our Big East teams. When Charlotte hosts the likes of Syracuse, Georgetown and Connecticut in basketball there will be an immediate reaction among the many fans from up north. Interest in Charlotte sports will grow dramatically and recruiting will transform over night for all of our teams.

Charlotte's best chance of creating a first class sports attraction among students and area sports fans hinges on participation in a big conference and a conference that warms the hearts of our citizens. Since the most popular local conference is the ACC and it looks down on Charlotte, we would be smart to activate all the longing sports fans from the northeast. We should seek an agreement now to enter the Big East after a predetermined number of seasons.

So yes, Charlotte must walk before it runs. However, we will find our stride far more quickly when potential recruits to ALL our teams see the Big East in our future. And, in the long run we will create a fun rivalry with our ACC neighbors that will attract a lasting fan base!!

So, Judy Rose needs to express Charlotte's intense interest in the Big East and begin mobilizing our current fans on a letter writing campaign to show the Big East we care!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-76370212686486987662010-11-04T10:45:32.046-04:002010-11-04T10:45:32.046-04:00The A10 doe not curently play football. When the NCAA made the rules difficult for 1 sport conferences, the A10 agreed to take over management of the Yankee Conference as the majority of its members were also A10 schools. The defection of Northeastern from A10 football to the CAA resulted in the A10 not having enough schools to maintain football conference status and the CAA basically took over management of what had once been the Yankee Conference.49RFBNnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-65871402771787328232010-11-04T09:23:15.291-04:002010-11-04T09:23:15.291-04:00I can't believe you even wasted the time to wr...I can't believe you even wasted the time to write this.Matt Moorenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-87795030849049965712010-11-04T08:43:23.566-04:002010-11-04T08:43:23.566-04:00UNCC doesnt have enough parking lots close to the ...UNCC doesnt have enough parking lots close to the stadium, only parking decks. I absolutely hate the fact we continue to call our school "UNC" Charlotte. Heck, some folks ignorantly call the school, UNC. Anyway, she won all kinds of cool points with me by changing our athletics to the Charlotte 49ers, which the school chancellor at the time, didn't whole heartily agree with. She obviously doesn't have any football background, but the AD is doing absolutely everything to learn the in's and out's and do everything the right way. Well, at least as I'm concerned.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-81116588650835790392010-11-04T00:22:01.326-04:002010-11-04T00:22:01.326-04:00The A10 plays football in the FCS, so the 9ners co...The A10 plays football in the FCS, so the 9ners could stay, or move to the SoCon in Football, and remain in the A 10 for everything else.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-48396596419994140612010-11-03T19:43:06.844-04:002010-11-03T19:43:06.844-04:00Hopefully we have a real AD by the time football i...Hopefully we have a real AD by the time football is launched.

Everyone knows in the inner circle that Judy is an awful admin and decision maker.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-57882349157747968382010-11-03T19:20:13.828-04:002010-11-03T19:20:13.828-04:00......I'm ok with this.......I'm ok with this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-8767761428268413682010-11-03T18:57:57.682-04:002010-11-03T18:57:57.682-04:006:45 is right......Judy has publicly stated the WH...6:45 is right......Judy has publicly stated the WHOLE point of starting Fball is to get into a great conf.
