VCU will win the regular season conf title by virtue of the tie breaker game already played this year. If Charlotte can win the A10 conf title, then we get a spot in the NCAA. If not, then our RPI of 9 should be enough to guarantee us an at large bid. Last year our RPI was below that and we still got an at large bid.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-15415118539250560172012-10-30T18:04:11.977-04:002012-10-30T18:04:11.977-04:00Even if we lose our last home game and then lose i...Even if we lose our last home game and then lose in the A10 Tourney, the rpi will not drop that much. The A10 has some soccer teams with a fairly high rpi. We should already be a lock for the NCAA. Making it all the way to the National Championship Game again is a completely different story.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-85289853748100882822012-10-30T18:03:14.528-04:002012-10-30T18:03:14.528-04:00Even if we lose our last home game and then lose i...Even if we lose our last home game and then lose in the A10 Tourney, the rpi will not drop that much. I doubt last year's team had an RPI that high before the tournament. That by no means assures a run in the NCAA, since soccer results are very unpredictable.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-79246765365768958662012-10-30T15:53:32.780-04:002012-10-30T15:53:32.780-04:00"Green-White World Series"

Not the way we played last year.

I'm not brimming with confidence for the soccer team. I really think we took a step back when we lost our coach. If VCU gets the league title and we lose in the first round of the A-10 tournament, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we didn't get an NCAA bid at all. Hopefully I'll be dead wrong, we win both the regular season and tournament titles, and the NCAA is forced to make us a top 3 seed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-50209511538818806612012-10-30T13:40:54.854-04:002012-10-30T13:40:54.854-04:00GO NINERS!GO NINERS!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2888315372276404701.post-50437858520841034132012-10-30T13:29:02.025-04:002012-10-30T13:29:02.025-04:00VCU will likely trounce Richmond this weekend and ...VCU will likely trounce Richmond this weekend and Charlotte will defeat GW if the 49ers play anywhere near their capability. I'll be interested to see how many A10 teams make the NCAA and how Charlotte will be seeded should they be fortunate enough to win the league tournament. Hoping for a first round bye and at least one home game after that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
