Charlotte 49ers women's basketball coach Cara Consuegra announced the hiring of Karen Lange as assistant coach.
Lange, a Raleigh native and former Iowa Hawkeyes star, spent the past season as head coach at MidAmerica Nazarene University.
She was previously an assistant at Kansas and at Virginia Tech.

Let's talk about MEN'S SPORTS. The NATIONALLY RANKED (although people living in Charlotte are always the last to know whenever the Niners are ranked in anything) 49er baseball Team clin chinched one of 2 first round byes for the conference tournament on Saturday, May 14.
They clinched the bye on the 14th, still 2 weeks before the tournament.
