Charlotte 49ers chosen 3rd in C-USA preseason poll; Henry all-conference

The Charlotte 49ers, who return four starters from last season's team that went 17-14, have been picked to finish third in the Conference USA men's basketball race by the league's coaches.

Charlotte guard Pierria Henry also made the 10-player preseason all-conference team. Henry was the only player in C-USA last season to average double figures in points (12.3) and more than five rebounds (5.1) and assists (5.8).

Louisiana Tech and Texas-El Paso were chosen to finish ahead of Charlotte, with Old Dominion the coaches' pick to finish fourth.

Louisiana Tech: Raheem Appleby, Sr., G; Alex Hamilton, Jr., G; Kenneth "Speedy" Smith, Sr., G.
Old Dominion: Aaron Bacote, Jr., G.

How come no more mentions about that giant killer football team? Wow support for them lost steam in a hurry.....barely 8,000 people will show up to the games less than 1,000 stay until the end. Local high schools have more people watching games. What a joke, to those campaigning to bring football to UNCC, how you like it now?

So Majors moved the coaches radio show away from campus, moved the students away from the home bench, and cancelled the 49er Fan Day!! The man is determined to kill 49er basketball!!!!!

The ticket office made more lower level seats available this year. I believe the goal is to close the curtain around the track to make the arena look less empty.

Majors is supposed to be this great recruiter - but he only has one pre season all conference player. Huh?
