Charlotte (23-8) was seeded 11th in the Oklahoma City Region and will play sixth-seeded Purdue (22-10) at approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Chattanooga, Tenn., in the first round of the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. The game will be shown on ESPN2.
The winner of the Charlotte-Purdue game will play Monday against the winner of the noon contest Saturday between No.3-seeded North Carolina and 14th-seeded Central Florida.
The 49ers won the Atlantic 10 tournament last week.
