The name of the 49ers' football field will be announced at a Tuesday news conference at the site of where the stadium is being constructed.
Look for the field to be named after a family or group of donors. It's not uncommon for college football programs to name the fields, in addition to the stadiums -- they're usually referred to as (Fill the blank/usually a donor) Field at (Fill in the blank/somtimes naming rights) Stadium.
The 15,000-seat stadium has been under construction since April for the football program that begins play in 2013.

Field will be named Rose - DuBois Field. Group of donors stepped up and did it in honor of them finally bringing football to Charlotte. Confirmed through two sources.

That is what I have heard too Marcus. Thinking Halton or Belk or Hayes family are involved in naming it after Rose/Dubois. Dont have any confirmation but it makes some sense given football being on their watch.
It won't be unknown company or name. Hear the name will be very recognizable.
It will be a private donor. I heard the Eason family stepped up. Never heard of them, must be new money.
