Charlotte 49ers-ODU soccer on TV

The 49ers men's soccer match Wednesday against Conference USA foe Old Dominion at Transamerica Field will be on Fox Sports South at 7 p.m.

Charlotte (4-3-3, 0-2-1) has gotten off to a rough start in league play, tying New Mexico 0-0 in double-overtime tie last Friday. The Monarchs (4-3-1, 1-1), falling to Kentucky 2-1 on Friday.

Player to watch for ODU is senior striker Tim Hopkinson, who had six goals and an assist. Charlotte senior goalkeeper Klay Davis is the defensive player of the week in C-USA after allowing one goal in ties against Wake Forest (1-1) and New Mexico (0-0). The shutout against the Lobos was the fourth of the season for Davis and the 24th of his career.

stay on soccer as opposed to say, football? most on campus are not even remotely into that sport. this is not a football mecca. we despise that game.

Less football. We know also of that weird water boy everyone talks about who posts incessantly. He was a known molestor at the school my roommate and myself grad from. We know some of his victims. More basketball please to keep him away.

This years soccer team shows what a joke of a confrance the a10 is for outdoor sports... just wait for baseball to stink it up too. Yet everbody sing the praises for baseball and soccer coachs. Alan Majors prove he the best coaching mind on campas with his season last year! 21 wins!

5:28, you're an idiot. Charlotte made the NC Game (and should have won it) in 2011 out of the A10. Beating multiple top 5 teams along the way. I'd say the A10 did nothing to hold us back.
