Four Tennessee basketball players were arrested on drug and weapons charges Friday after a Knoxville police officer stopped the car they were riding in for speeding on Alcoa Highway near Kingston Pike, according to a report in the Knoxville News-Sentinel.
The four are: Cameron Tatum, who was driving the vehicle; Tyler Smith, who was sitting in the front seat; Melvin Goins, a rear seat passenger; and Brian Williams, also sitting in the backseat.
The full story can be read here.
The Charlotte 49ers play at Tennessee on Wednesday. The four players are unlikely to return to the lineup before then.
