Historic? I think that's a wee bit of an overstatement.

It is an historic front page. Go Niners!!!!!
Agreed, this is a huge milestone for the University City and the City of Charlotte itself...
It would be historic if there weren't already hundereds of college football teams. Davidson and JC Smith have teams, so it's not like this is the first game in town. Being the first NFL team in the Carolinas is historic, being the 50th college to get a lower level college team in North Carolina is not.
