The 49ers baseball team, last season's Atlantic 10 champion, released its 2012 baseball schedule today. The 49ers have 27 home games and open the season at Hayes Stadium with a four-game set Feb. 17-19 against St. Peter's. Twelve of Charlotte's first 15 games will be at home.
Nonconference foes include Duke, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, N.C. State, Dallas Baptist and Missouri.

looks like unc-ch is afraid to play us again. oh well.
Fox must be a Dean Smith scheduling disciple. Never play a team out of conference that can beat you.
I'd be scared to come back to the Hayes too if I were Fox.

Don't think that's it, FBN. UNC-CH still has several teams on their midweek schedule that they play and occasionally get beat by - Coastal Carolina, Elon, UNCG, to name a few. I'd give anything if the Niners could get a weekend series with Coastal.
If we happen to screw up and not win the A-10 tournament, we're going to need at least 40 wins on this schedule to get into the NCAA. Hopefully we'll do both.

Great scheduling just like men's soccer. Cover the weakness of the A-10's weaker teams.
