Charlotte 49ers' Henry, Braswell pick up A-10 honors

Charlotte 49ers point guard Pierria Henry was named to the Atlantic 10's all-rookie team today, while forward Chris Braswell made the all-conference third team.

Henry is among the nation's leaders in steals and started every game he played this season. Braswell is averaging 15.6 points and 7.6 rebounds.

St. Bonaventure center Andrew Nicholson was named the league's player of the year; Temple's Fran Dunphy the coach of the year and Richmond's Kendall Anthony the rookie of the year.

First-team all-conference: Nicholson, Saint Louis' Brian Conklin, Temple's Ramone Moore, Xavier's Tu Holloway and UMass's Chaz Williams.

The Niners need to fire Bobby Lutz...I mean 19-12 was one thing but these last 2 years are realy the bottom.

What seed will UNCC be in the CIAA tourney? Lol...what a joke.

At least you're finally identifying yourself as a troll now, so from now on I'll know just to skip over anything you type knowing that there's not an intelligent thought contained within. Your friends must think you're so funny! Oh wait, that's right... LOL!

Anon 1:36pm. UNCC's basketball program is going backwards since Lutz has left. Not that he was a great coach, but at least they were talked about. UNCC is a joke and you know it...troll

A duck walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender ask "who are you?" "I'm a Charlotte 49ers basketball player," says the duck. "Throw him out," says the the bartender, "he's drunk.". " Everybody knows the 49ers no longer have a basketball team.". Hahahahaha!

A troll walks into a bar. The bartender shoots him in the face. The bar patrons applaud, then shoot him 20 more times to make sure he's dead. The city can't decide who to give the civic award to.

10:01 you might want to reconsider your post. It makes the Charlotte 49er fan base look bad. Some will say it appears urban and others will say it looks hillbilly.

O! The times we live in.

In reference to the 10:01 post.
No trolls were harmed in the making of the post.
Fantasy bartender and patrons only. Do not attempt.
The opinions implied are of the poster and do not necessarily reflect those of Niner Nation

Happy now? In point of fact, our beloved trolls are already dead. Just haven't laid down yet.

Henry has a lot of potential. He's certainly going to be better than Derrio. Of course, an untrained monkey can shoot better than Derrio. I want to see Nickerson take a giant step forward and for all of the incoming recruiting class to contribute. I still think this coaching staff can lead us back to the NCAA tournament, but next year is critical. I'm hoping we will see the necessary improvement.

J 3:30 - You better get that untrained monkey because the 49ers will need him next year.

The mineshaft is ......is CALLAPSING!!!!!!!

David, is there any way you can find out why major refused to play Derrio in his final game as a senior and why he was benched for 4 or 5 games earlier in the season? Niner fans have a right to know what was going on.

Things are starting to get serious, boys.

Judy is standing outside Villa 7 HQ, looking for a taxi, and waiting for someone to talk to her. That's how you find a head coach . . . right?

Dear Judy:

NCSU would like to thank you for the investment you have made in the process of rebuilding the basketball program at the STATE school. There is no way we could of progressed so quick without your help.

PS. Thanks for the McDonald's All American point guard coming our way next year. You know those guys are sensative about who they let coach them. You are so peachy!
