The Charlotte 49ers men's basketball team has received a signed national letter of intent from recruit Shamarr Bowden, a 6-foot-3, 165-pound shooting guard who originally committed to Virginia Tech.
An official announcement of Bowden's signing is expected to be released by the Charlotte sports information office on Thursday.
Bowden, 18, is a senior at The Miller Academy, a prep school in Charlottesville, Va., where he averaged 20.7 points last season. He played previously played at Greensboro Grimsley High.

Wow, a 4 year recruit... I hope Bob Huggins doesn't take him to WVU with an assistant coach.
