When dogs fly

The Charlotte 49ers have lined up some interesting halftime entertainment for Thursday's showdown with Wake Forest at Charlotte Bobcats Arena.

"K9s in Flight," which features high flying, acrobatic stunts by dogs and frisbees, is the scheduled halftime show at the game. "K9s in Flight" has performed for over 50 NFL, NBA, WNBA, Major League Baseball and NCAA games, according to its Web site, www.airmuts.com

All of the dogs that participate have been rescued or adopted from organizations throughout the country. The show is sponsored by Carolina Medical Center University.
