The Charlotte 49ers got a verbal commitment late Saturday from Denzel Irvin, a cornerback who is entering his senior season at Foundation Academy in Winter Garden, Fla.
Irvin (6-1, 180) had 82 tackles, five sacks and two interceptions as a junior and is ranked 48th in the Orlando Sentinel's Florida "Super 60" prospects list. He's the 13th commitment in the class of '14 for the 49ers.

Whiners are landing good recruits now but an 0-16 season will put a stop to that.
Trolls still hanging in there, but a couple of good seasons will put a stop to that.
uncc will keep this going for this season but as soon as the newness wears off...say goodbye to all the bandwagon fans. They will go back to supporting their former schools.
Then the CO will go back to writing about real football.
unc concord fans enjoy the coverage while its here. If you don't win at least 8 of those games on your weak schedule then consider it a failure.

Could Duran Lowe (Wake Forest dismissal) be a possibility? He was 1st team all-ACC academic, so grades shouldn't be an issue. It might be weird teaming up with Des Cooper for the two safety positions.
Martay Maddox could play as a 6ft+ WR, where he aso played in JuCo.

How does one chirp? If you're complaining that our fans are excited every time we hear about another player joining our team, then how sad does your life have to be that you're actually bothered by that? No, we've never played a game before, and we don't know what our results will be. But I think I speak for many when I say WE DON'T CARE!! We have football now, and we're excited! If you don't like that, then you might want to stop coming to a blog that's intended for fans of this team. Let me make this very clear, your petty insults aren't going to make that excitement go away. This team is going to be my team whether we go 11-0 or 0-11. And you better believe I will watch every game with the same level of excitement no matter which way it goes. If they don't win more than 6 games against that "schedule" I would call the season an absolute failure, you people are playing Div 2 schools, NAIAs, and non scholly FCS schools who have only three wins over the last year between them.....what a joke.

For those of you who have a hard time accepting that Charlotte has a football team, and feel the need to ridicule, please know that you are only coming off as ignorant and slightly embarrassing.
I would call a few of you out, but you are all labeled as Anonymous.
The schedule they are playing is pretty much on par for a first year team. Up to this point they have done everything as scripted and just sold all 5,000 FSLs.
Once you realize this is not only great for the University, but also the city of Charlotte, the better you will feel as humans.

We may not have the strongest schedule but we have players on the team that will give everything they have. All the anonymous people that are posting don't want to show their true identities.
