I really hope they are wrong. Finishing 5th in a weak conference is not acceptable.

We will finish better than that! Glad we got a Dewhurst at point. Gerrity was so overated. Good recruiting class coming with experience players coming back. Inside presence & team FG percentage will be the key.

If it was any indicator from last year's quality wins over mid- and high-majors and one hell of a gauntlet that was conference play for most teams in the A-10, it's safe to say that it is not a weak conference.

That's no excuse for the 49ers though. They're a much better team than last year's record and they need to be a more consistent team, i.e. beating Davidson one game and blowing against Hofstra the next (like last year) was the kind of play that killed your chances for an NCAA bid.

EDIT: meant to say "blowing it," not "blowing" for the previous comments. My sincere apologies for any offense this might cause.
