Nagy tied for ninth at NCAA Golf Championships

Charlotte 49ers junior and former Vance High standout Corey Nagy is tied for ninth after the first day of the 2009 NCAA Golf Championships at the Inverness Club in Toldeo, Ohio.

Nagy shot an even-par 71 on Tuesday, the first day of the Championships. He is competing as an individual in the tournament as the 49ers as a team failed to advance out of the regionals.

Three players - Jonathan Bowers of Northwestern, Scott Langley of Illinois and Matt Hill of N.C. State - are tied for the lead after the first round at two-under par.

And after he drops to T31 after round two, we see no update. Nice coverage, Utter.
