Mills now slated for Wednesday start

Former Charlotte 49ers pitcher Adam Mills, who was just promoted to the Class AAA Pawtucket Red Sox, is now slated to start Pawtucket's game Wednesday night against the Charlotte Knights at Knight’s Stadium in Fort Mill, S.C.

Mills, who led the NCAA with 1.01 ERA his senior season, pitched in the AAA playoffs last season for Pawtucket, as a late-season call-up to the International League club.

Mills was 10-5 this season for the Class AA Portland Sea Dogs and on Thursday won his eighth consecutive start, setting a team record.

Good luck Adam, Red Sox or not.

Anyone looking to come to the game Wednesday can get two tickets for the price of one at the Knights Ticket Office if they show their Harris Teeter VIC Card.
