The 49ers' men's and women's basketball teams -- along with coaches Alan Major and Karen Aston -- will be on the Square uptown (the corner of Trade and Tryon) Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the 49ers' Uptown Tipoff.
Joining the teams and coaches will be cheerleaders, Gold Duster dancers, the basketball band and Norm the Niner.
-- Soccer player Andres Cuero, who scored twice against Clemson in a 2-1 double-overtime victory last week, was named to College Soccer News' national team of the week.
