Charlotte 49ers basketball player DeMario Mayfield, who faces misdemeanor marijuana possession charges, had his case continued until June at the Mecklenburg County Courthouse on Wednesday.
Mayfield was arrested Feb. 14 after he failed to stop at a red light, according to police reports. Police found marijuana in a subsequent search of the car.
Mayfield was suspended one game and was taken out of the starting lineup for another, as dictated by 49ers athletics department policy, according to athletics director Judy Rose.

I have no problem with a citation for running a red light but exactly who is the victim in the marijuana possession charge?
The criminal justice system and the law, which he broke. Don't like the law? Change it.

Derrio didn't do anything. He just wasn't one of Major's recruits.
Uh, Derrio wasn't suspended at season's end. He just did not play. I think this may be because Major was trying to win. Just a wild thought.

News flash: "trying to win" is not the same as "win". If it were, there would be very few losers. Mpre to the point, Derrio was not suspended at season's end. He would not have been on the bench if he were suspended.
