ESPN has yet to release the bracket for the 2008 Anaheim Classic, but it appears the Charlotte 49ers will face a first-round matchup on Thanksgiving Day against Arizona State, coached by former N.C. State coach Herb Sendek.
The Sun Devils won 21 games last season - tying for the best turnaround in the country - and return their top seven scorers, including All-Pac-10 players James Harden and Jeff Pendergraph.
- The Charlotte 49ers' women's basketball team has not released its 2008-09 schedule, but early indications are the 49ers will have a home game this season against Notre Dame that is expected to be televised by ESPNU.
- A follow-up MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) showed Charlotte sophomore forward Gaby Ngoundjo suffered a partial tear of the plantar fascia in his left foot. He must wear a hard cast on the foot for about a month. The plantar fascia, or arch ligament, is a band that runs from under the heel to the front of the foot. Ngoundjo sustained the injury in a summer league game earlier this month.

I think everybody remembers what happened last time Lutz faced off against Herb...
Whens the last time Bobby has done well in a tournament - any tournament???
i think it is humorous that people who enjoying slandering on the internet always post anonymously.
way to go. you officially are a chicken shit.
i think it will be fun to play arizona state. they have a great team.
enjoy*
Lutz is 1-1 vs Herb. In 2001 Charlotte pasted NC State in the championship game of their own Tournament at the RBC Center.
I would much rather have the NCAA win though...
to answer the first posters question.....Charlotte won twice in this past season's A10 tourney before falling to eventual champion Temple in the semi-finals.
I hate playing against that offense. We will be in trouble the very first game. Ouch! I didn not want that match-up at all.
