Weinraub named A-10 co-player of week

Charlotte 49ers women's soccer junior forward Whitney Weinraub has been named co-player of the week by the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Weinraub amassed seven points in a pair of wins for the 49ers last weekend. She scored a goal in the 49ers' 5-3 win over Duquesne on Friday and scored two goals and had an assist in Charlotte's 4-0 victory at Fordham on Sunday. She leads the team with eight goals on the year.

The 49ers return to action at 7 p.m. Friday when they host Rhode Island at Transamerica Field.
