Women's soccer blanks ETSU 4-0

The Charlotte 49ers women’s soccer team used a balanced scoring attack with four different goal scorers defeat East Tennessee State 4-0 Friday at Transamerica Field. The 49ers (5-2) finished the game with a 28-4 advantage in shots and an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The 49ers defense limited East Tennessee State (1-7) to four shots en route to its fourth shutout of the season. Charlotte goalkeepers Lauren Brown and Natalie LaVigne each played 45 minutes in combining on the shutout.

Charlotte hosts ACC foe N.C. State at Transamerica Field at 1 p.m. Sunday in its final non-conference game of the season.
