The Charlotte 49ers women’s soccer team got goals from four different players as it defeated Rhode Island 4-0 Friday night at Transamerica Field. The win was the 49ers' 19th straight over Atlantic 10 competition.
Hailey Beam, Oni Bernard, Lena Suarez and Whitney Weinraub all scored for Charlotte (9-2, 3-0). The 49ers defense recorded its second straight shutout and seventh of the season.
Charlotte returns to action at 1 p.m. Sunday when it hosts Massachusetts.
