A-10 commissioner responds -- sort of

Here's the response I got from Atlantic 10 commissioner Bernadette McGlade today about concerns she heard from Charlotte 49ers athletics director Judy Rose about the disparity in fouls called in 49ers games last week against Richmond and St. Bonaventure:

“I have heard the concerns brought to light by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and have discussed them with our coordinator of men’s basketball officials," McGlade said in an email through a conference spokesman. "Officiating is a challenging profession. If a mistake was made we will address it appropriately.”

pretty pathetic to cry about it, win games by more than margin of error

Would love to know if Judy ever protested for Bobby?

Yes, she protested "for Bobby" following the GW game.

And will get the same results.

The school is officially know in its sports arena as CHARLOTTE 49ers.
How ignorant of the A-10 commissioner calling us UNC Charlotte.

Just what would one expect the comish to say? "Yes we realize we shaft UNCC both at home and on the road. Take it like a man Judy"?

Would be interesting to know how her and Judy get along. The commissioner of Athletics using the full name of the University instead of Charlotte Athletic Dept seems like she's taking a jab to me.

She came from the ACC.

6:01 did you see the game?.....Charlotte did win it several times, only to have the officials take it away. This was no "normal" bad calls/breaks, it was unbelievably obvious the refs had a "mission".

Oh please. 42 turnovers in last 2 games. can we please move past 'it was the refs'?

Hopefully they said something to the refs. You guys really need to stop freaking out whenever they use the school's official name. Yes the athletics are Charlotte, and yes I want the school to just be Charlotte, but for now the school is UNCC; chill out. Go niners.

I fully believe that Charlotte gets shafted in A-10 games. aw it happen live and on TV many times. There is an official/unofficial policy of making sure that team does not rise to the top of the conference. I think they were very worried about that when we first arrived and now they just hate us.

The refs hate us WAAAAAAAA
The A10 hates us WAAAAAAA
The refs didn't suspend multiple players this season, kick one off the team and make another academically ineligible or cause the highest turnover average for the team in years.

How pathetic

Hey Anonymous 9:58 (which is pretty pathetic in itself), if this isn't your school or team, go away. Simple as that. If you're not impacted by anything going on here - what would appear to be biased refs or the challenge by the AD - you are free to disappear.

I promise you none of us will care.

9:58.....none of that matters. The only thing that matters is getting a fair shake from the officials, something that has not happened the last 2 games.....you must be pathetic to be on here posting about how "pathetic" Charlotte is.

Blame the referees? Is this really how far this program has fallen?

This team is a strong team. Turnover prone for sure. They have their issues...but they are learning. We won't get blown out by anyone this year. We will die fighting in every loss.
There was definitely some big missed calls. I do think the refs cost the game. Terrible officiating.
That being said, we should have never let it get that close. We should have been up at halftime. There is enough blame to pass around. We have to start winning by larger margins so that no one CAN blow the game on calls. It's just like in fighting: You never want to leave it in the hands of the judge. Finish the fight.
Moving on, it's time to gear up, and get ready for Fordham at home. They may not be elite but are much better under the new regime. GO NINERS!

Golden State is appealing to NBA offficials for not getting fair calls against the Lakers (NOT). Face it bad teams are not respected!

Why should the officials give a win to any team. You earn it!

1:23.....spoken like someone who obviously didn't see the CLT/SBU game and the travesty it was.
