The Atlantic 10 made it official today: The league's men's basketball tournament will move to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., in 2013.
The tournament moves to Brooklyn from Atlantic City, N.J., where it has been held since 2007. The Barclays Center, which is still under construction, is also the future home of the soon-to-be Brooklyn Nets.
"The opportunity to partner with the Barclays Center and bring the Atlantic 10 basketball championship to New York has unlimited possibilities," said conference commissioner Bernadette McGlade. "Our teams will compete in the newest state of the art facility within the Atlantic 10 footprint and the No. 1 media market in the country."

And how does this apply to UNCC?
But what does this have to do with UNCC?
Because we're in the A-10, Professor.
I dont get it. Are we talking about UNCC?

I should have assumed this would be over your head. Yes, UNCC is in the A-10. But that has no relevance or meaning in regards to UNCC earning an opportunity to play in Brooklyn. This is because, UNCC is not a respectable athletic program. Excuse me...I forgot about track/field, cross country, soccer and flag football teams. What I meant to say was that the UNCC basketball program is a joke.
So the point of this ground-breaking revelation to the delusional UNCC idiots, is that UNCC will not make it to the A-10 tournament.
Maybe I should implement a pie chart. Would that help?
A Venn diagram may give a better perspective representation.
You seem to be forgetting that UNCC is going to be contending for the BCS National Championship by 2017 when they are in the SEC or at the very least, the ACC.
Um, guys... UNCC won the conference like...7 years ago. They're legitimate BCS level contenders in all sports. The football team is receiving AP votes, right?
This Charlotte H8R musta been denied admission. You can always count on his/her drivel EVERY time there is anything in the news about the school. Pathetic.
@7:41. I'd keep my comments brief if I were you. Of course, you may be able to handle eating lots of words, as I suspect you have experience swallowing things.
Since UNCC is known and respected for its academic achievement...
UNCC doesn't turn away any rejects. They're mission is to have the largest student enrollment in the state no matter the cause or effect.

Do you just have the Gold Mine Blog bookmarked and every time there's an article published come on here and bash our school?? I mean honestly... get a freakin life. We're not in middle school anymore... oh wait, you probably still own season tickets to your middle school's football games because you don't have a college. Sorry to hear that.
It's just Tim Collie. Over and over.
Hey D A at 10:43PM! It's "their" not "they're". I knew it: you're an ignorant, uneducated doofus.

Again, I ask you, in what way does NOT going to UNCC constitute as uneducated? This should be interesting.
UNCC makes me laugh.
The Charlotte haters make me laugh......a pathetic, I feel really sorry for you losers kind of laugh.....I'm sorry Charlotte turned you down, but get over it and also, hurry up with my fries, I'm hungry.
Again, I ask you, in what way does NOT going to UNCC constitute as uneducated?
I'm waiting.
Anon 10:17,
It doesn't.
charlotte college is just another option for the kids who didn't get into state or unc or even ecu. bigger version of a community college.
2:23....you are clueless.......BTW, Charlotte is actually harder to get into than ECU and the quality of education is better in most programs.
