Charlotte 49ers women’s basketball’s junior guard Shannon McCallum and senior forward Ashley Spriggs earned All-Atlantic 10 honors on Wednesday.
McCallum, who was A-10 Sixth Player of the Year last season, was voted second-team All-Atlantic 10. She was also named to the A-10 All-Defensive team. McCallum, who needs 13 points to become the 18th player in school history to score 1,000 career points, leads the team in scoring (14.2 ppg), rebounding (7.4 per game), assists (2.9 per game) and steals (2.5 per game).
Spriggs earned honorable-mention All-Atlantic 10 honors. This is the fifth consecutive season the 49ers have had at least two players named All-Atlantic 10.
