The Richmond Spiders pulled off a stunning second-half comeback to beat Dayton 54-48 Saturday in the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 women's tournament at Halton Arena. Richmond advances to Monday's 5 p.m. championship game where it will face No. 3 seed Charlotte (22-8).
Richmond (23-8), the tournament's No. 4 seed, trailed by 19 with 16 minutes, 16 seconds in the second half before the Spiders' press started forcing Dayton into bad shots and Richmond's 3-pointers started dropping in.
Richmond tied the game at 48 with 1:40 left and the Flyers (20-13) never scored again.
