First round A-10: St. Bonaventure 72, Saint Joseph's 65

St. Bonaventure used a strong second half to oust Saint Joseph's 72-65 Friday night at Halton Arena in the first round of the Atlantic 10 women's tournament.

The Bonnies (21-9), the tournament's No. 7 seed, will get a rematch with No. 2 seed Temple (20-8) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. St. Bonaventure beat the Owls 55-52 in the teams' only previous meeting this season.

Dana Mitchell led the Bonnies with 17 points. The team shot 61.5 percent from the 3-point line, making 8-of-13 shots from long range. Jenna Loschiavo led the Hawks (13-17) with 13 points.
